About 40 years ago I had been working very long hours for several days and was delivering something to a BBC film despatch/transit office. On the shelf behind the counter were several film cans labelled Queen's Obituary. I thought I must have missed some big news, but they were just in transit to be updated. Obituaries are generally always made in advance of their need. This website is slightly macabre in a way, but it is only what exists in many perfectly reputable news organisations.
